William S. Davis' $500 Days of Summer project has recently announced its full lineup!

For the project, 5 slots were opened to bands and artists to sign up for a full music video production package. The deal included multiple ideas to choose from for the music video, full pre-production (props, casting, locations), an all-day music video shoot (crew, equipment and an on-site photographer for behind-the-scenes stills and promotional photos of the band) and full post-production services. The final videos will be available for viewing on the artists' sites as well as www.500dollardays.net, and each video will be shown on Yellow Arrow's site as a 'Featured' video for a week!

$500 Days of Summer

$500 Days of Summer is Upon Us!

500 Days_of_Summer_Flyer_for_YAF

Over the next few weeks, William S. Davis will be working on $500 Days of Summer, a music video project where bands and artists receive a full music video production for one of their songs, including a photo session the day of the shoot!

Here's all you have to do: go to www.500dollardays.net, sign up online and pay for your spot through the secure server using PayPal. Once you've done this, you'll receive multiple concepts to choose from and once you select your idea, everything will be organized prior to the shoot (cast, crew, equipment, locations, etc.). On the day of the shoot, you'll have a team of film professionals (including the good members of Yellow Arrow Film) dedicated to producing a top-notch music video for you, which you'll have a chance to view prior to receiving the final video and pictures (promo photographs and behind-the-scenes) to use to promote your music!

And get this, these aren't simply performance-based videos where you're rocking out in a warehouse or the like; each video is an original, concept-driven idea that is built and suited to fit the style and approach to your music. The goal of this is to provide high concept, low cost videos that can compete with other music videos and allow for bands of all genres to have something great to present alongside their music!

There are only a couple spots left, so be sure to go to the site and sign up by this Wednesday, June 20th so you can be a part of this great deal!

Erik's iphone pictures

Though I wouldn't trade in my Canon 5d Mark II for my iphone camera, I have begun to take a serious liking to having a semi-decent camera with me 24/7. I like how quickly it is possible to tone and edit a photo in the camera. In many instances the apps allow me to come up with a look I may never have conceived of if I were using a digital slr and photoshop. Here are a few of my recent favorites.

Lady in Red

I was walking around my neighborhood one day when I suddenly found myself behind this beautifully crimson clad woman. As much as I felt like a stalker, I decided that the greater sin would be that of not capturing this incredible sighting. The decision was made that much easier by virtue of my having had my camera in hand, with a cheesy plastic lens that needed no focusing, to boot! I posted a photo of the mystery lady on Facebook and saw an overwhelming response to this phantasm, and decided accordingly to write a poem in honor of her walk of majesty.
